RROD fix

So my mate Azzer rings me about an hour ago and tells me he's got the dreaded red Ring of DEATH! So we had a lengthy conversation about ways to mend it and with help from teh intarwebz we found a solution. My Xbox has been RROD for about 4 months and I wasn't bothered anyway so I just packed it away but tonight was an unexpected resurrection. Tonight me and Az did the famous towel trick.
This is my Xbox with the rrod
So I wrapped it in towels just like all the 13 year olds on youtube and left it to melt for 20 minutes. Not 10 minutes later, I heard the fan come to a shuddering halt and I took a peek at the ring and it was off so I switched it back on for a bit and same thing 5 minutes later. I hooked it up to the telly and switched it on and fuck me! It's alivveee

I gotta find some AA's now so I can have a thrash on GTA4 then I'm gonna find out how much it will fetch part ex at CEX and maybe get a slim this week I'll have to do it soon because everyone knows the towel trick only works for a week or 2 so I pity the poor cunt who buys my 360 and it permafails on them after 3 days. I'm off to look at some GTA now bye.

Ali Babas

I went Ali Babas again last night. Last time I was in I noticed a guy had bought his own beer with him. So I wanted to ring up see if was cool to do that. Well fuck me! Google Ali Babas Hanley! 1st result that comes up is a page from the local paper. A CITY centre restaurant manager has been fined £8,085 for flouting health and safety regulations.

"Yasir Hussain, from Ali Baba Restaurant in Hillchurch Street, Hanley, pleaded guilty to seven food hygiene charges at Newcastle Magistrates' Court yesterday.

The court heard how the 37-year-old, who had also managed eateries in Newcastle and Crewe, was prosecuted by Newcastle Borough Council last year.

Then, he was fined £8,000 and ordered to pay £1,400 court costs for failing to maintain health and safety standards at Spice Avenue in Silverdale.

Prosecutor Trevor Vernon said a health and safety inspector had uncovered several hygiene problems at Ali Baba in March last year"

This all happened 12 months ago so they probably have to keep the kitchen very clean incase the inspector comes round. I can't knock the place. For £5.95 you get a 4 course meal and a glass of wine and it all tastes good and the service is brilliant. Its got a sort of rustic charm. The floor and seats are dirty, the ceiling is falling apart and ironically one of the ceiling tiles is a sentinel dated 2007- the same tabloid that printed the bad news. I will continue eating there until something pisses me off and they will lose mine and my friends custom. Before Ali's it was always Minhs and before that it was Jacks.

A long overdue project

Here's a devilishly mischievous idea I had when I was about 16. Imagine 100 foot of light conductive wire like fishing line. At each end there are enough helium balloons to lift the wire into the sky. Me and a friend are standing under power lines, we both let go of the balloons at the same time and the wire rises and touches the power lines and shorts the fucking lot. There would be sparks and shit everywhere.

Maybe I'll do it one day maybe not we'll see.

PS3

I've been craving a ps3 slim for the last 2 or 3 days. I can afford one but at £250 I think they're still too expensive for what it is. I'd buy one now if it was £180. I have a 360 but it RRODied months ago. My mate says there is a shop up the road that fixes it for £20 so I could do that then maybe part ex it at cex for a big ps3. I don't have much time to play games at the present so maybe I should just hold off for a bit, I got a DS and a ps2slim anyway. Hmm, I'm gonna put my slim in the livingroom later and get Vice City on the go on the 50" plasma (which is shit). I go through phases with stuff like games. I'll play a game every day for months then when I miss a few days playing I give it up.
I'll read a book halfway then when I miss a few days reading I give it up.
I'll start a blog then when I miss a few days blogging I give it up.
I'll watch a show then when I miss a few shows I give it up.
I'll start a project then when I miss a few days I give it up.
I'll eating fruit then when I miss a few days I give it up.
Shit sucks, committing myself to something is hard. I have so many unfinished projects in my workshop the draws are full of broken up shit.
Right, I've decided I'm holding off buying a ps3 but I'll look into getting the 360 fixed.
